Enterprise Solutions Architect

Talent Quanta is seeking an Enterprise Solutions Architect fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Provision of expert advice: Enterprise solution patterns and best practices in custom components development, cloud components development, build and deployment;

• Work within the agile process and take decisions regarding priority, business value, and functionality for all the work done by the agile development team;

• Possess an in-depth knowledge of goals and desired objectives of the project.

• Propose solutions by combining IT tools and business process refactoring or improvements based on an in-depth understanding of a specific data spaces and initiatives;

• Interact with business analysts, customer, users, project leaders and the developers.

• Supervise the implementation of the Open technical architecture, including an analysis  the integration and interoperability of different existing open-source software building blocks that will be included in the cloud architecture;

• Steer/inspect/validate the software architecture documents.

Required Expertise

• Master’s degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 17 years of relevant working experience in IT;

• Experience with large, enterprise-level multi-user Information Systems;

• Proven experience managing end-to-end large IT projects or programs, in particular in the context of multi stakeholder's environment;

• Experience in Agile as well as agile toolbox (i.e., JIRA, Confluence, Big Picture, Gliffy, Balsamiq, etc.).

• Excellent Knowledge of Application Management Lifecycle;

• Good Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, COBIT, Zachman, and actual experience developing and building models based on such framework;

• Ability to give business and technical presentations;

• Practical knowledge of (Open-Source) data sharing tools (EDC, Gaia-X, others), models and standards (W3C DID, W3C DCAT, W3C ODRL, …);

• Good knowledge of cloud architecture best practices and patterns;

• Good knowledge of microservices and architecture in the cloud;

• Good knowledge of applications design and modelling tools;

• Good knowledge of Enterprise Architecture;

• Good knowledge of Relational DBMS ;

• Good knowledge of business process analysis;

• Good knowledge of interoperability technologies at cloud infrastructure level but also at service level (web services, message-oriented middleware, service-oriented bus, event architecture);

• Knowledge of security mechanisms for cloud architectures (e.g., IdP);

• Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in Cloud environments;

• Understanding of AI, Machine Learning or High-Performance services will be considered an asset;

• Experience working in a public sector environment, in particular EU Institutions;

• Following certifications would be considered an asset: Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) Or Project Management certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI, Prince2 Foundation, PM2;

• Excellent command of the English language.
